It’s HOT out – where I’m going to keep cool

Keep cool

Miami is hot. During the summer, I often find myself spending some more time inside because it is very, very hot out.

When being inside is too much, I go directly to the beach. I set myself up with an umbrella so I do not get sunburnt and take the day to myself knowing that in a few months all of my New York friends will be in the cold and I will be in the nicest weather in the United States come winter time!

Here’s a list of a few things I like to do when the heat becomes too much!

Miami Beach

1 – Beach. My favorite public beaches to go to are South of Fifth, if it is not too busy. And my other favorite is Haulover Park Beach. This is a public beach in Bal Habor/Sunny Isles that abuts a 50+ acre park.

On Tuesday’s there is a food truck and kite fair across the street that offers some amazing bites at golden hour. I highly recommend this!

2 – Fun Club Boat Charters and ask for my friend Jonathan. Jonathan is a licensed captain that has a fleet of boats between Fort Lauderdale and Miami.

The crew treats all guests as VIP’s and from my own personal experiences this is a great way to get out on the water. Get picked up on the Miami River and cruise out through Downtown and Brickell and drop anchor just outside Star Island. Enjoy various water toys, catered food, and be sure to ask Jonathan to take his drone out for some pictures to recap a great day!

3 – Top Golf. Located in North Miami, Top Golf is a family favorite and the fact they have a bunch of BIG ASS FANS in their facility, it is like outdoor A/C. I am sure you have heard or been to a Top Golf before, be sure to check out their location in North Miami. They are also opening another one near the Dolphin Mall just in case the one in North Miami gets sold out.

Dolphin Mall is also home to Dave and Busters, another indoor activity I often check out when it gets too hot outside!
